We would be delighted if our customers could take a few moments out to vote for us in the Muddy Stilettos Awards 2016.
We constantly work hard to bring you a very high quality, luxury product which we make with love and care.
We feel that the category 'Best Local Producer (non-food)' is the most appropriate for us, but will leave that decision to you.
Click here to be taken through to the nomination page.
Many thanks lovely people!

]]>What is cellulite?
You may have heard tales of trapped toxins and poor circulation being responsible for your dimply thighs; but cellulite is actually just fat. It just looks a bit different because of the way in which it is arranged underneath the skin.
We all have strands of connective tissue that work to separate fat cells into compartments and connect the fat to the skin. Men have fibres that run horizontally, forming a criss-cross pattern which prevents dimpling. Women have fibres that form a honeycomb-shaped pattern, leading to excess fat bulging out like the stuffing in a mattress.
How can we banish or minimise cellulite?
There’s no easy way to get rid of cellulite, and certainly no overnight fix. Getting rid of your cellulite involves a combination of factors over an extended period of time. However, if you stick with it, you WILL see results!
There are a number of cosmetic products such as shower gels, facial scrubs and toothpastes, that contain these tiny plastic beads, to make them more abrasive. Microbeads are often so small that they can’t be picked up by filters at a sewage plant and end up out in the ocean where they become coated in toxins.
Aquatic organisms mistake them as food and in turn bring the toxins into the food chain.
At SOAK Yourself, we use natural ingredients such as oatmeal, salt and seeds as exfoliants.
You can read further about this problem at http://beatthemicrobead.org/
]]>Which brings me onto a more important point. I am not practicing what I preach!
Our Bath Ritual Recipe Kit was designed specifically to help people to take more time out for themselves. In my opinion there is no better place to do this than in the tub with the door firmly locked.
I have a little side table which I bring into the bathroom in preparation for my relaxation (aka guilt-free me time). This table holds everything I require: a few books (I need a selection in case I change my mind), nibbles, a cup of tea (ok, not always tea), my phone, my iPad, a portable music system, and various masks and pamper products.
Most of the time all I end up doing is slipping deeper and deeper into the water as I relax, and eventually fall asleep, without having touched any of my 'necessities' on the table. I usually wake up freezing.
The moral of the story...make time to relax, and take time off.
Our days are filled with endless stimulation, demands, stresses and worries. Long term this is so detrimental to our health. We as beings are not supposed to be living in such a fast paced environment, and the pace is just growing all the time.
Be kind to yourself. You ARE entitled to take time for yourself.

]]>Thank you to Janey Lee Grace and her team for considering us. We knew Janey really loved the Remedy SOAK when she tried it, but never raised our hopes for a win. We have been squealing with delight and jumping up, clicking heels.
This is such exciting news for us, and confirmation that we are on the right track. To win an award in the first year of our products being on the market is recognition indeed.
Our customers always tell us how amazing our products are, and we absolutely love feedback like that.
Please pass on the word to friends and family. After all, we have developed a range of products which are designed to delight and benefit the user. Remember, we only use 100% natural ingredients, and the Bath Ritual Recipe Kits come with permission to take time out and relax. Therefore when you give one as a gift, you are also giving the luxury of time.
]]>The Feeling Groovy SOAK comes with Patchouli & Vetiver soap, amongst a whole load of other delights. Did you know that Patchouli is very beneficial for the health of the skin, especially for problematic skin types, cracked or chapped skin, dermatitis, fungal infections, open pores and wrinkles? It has strong astringent properties and could be helpful for sagging skin e.g. after weight loss or pregnancy or for mature skins.
Of course we all know that there is no ‘cure’ for wrinkles, but I personally use this soap every day (face and body), and I am very happy to do so whilst I attempt this ageing gracefully malarky (although not so much at the weekend!)
Here's hoping we can squeeze in a few more lovely, sunny weekends over the next couple of months.
]]>I am one of the lucky ones who have kind, loving and supportive parents and too often I feel I take them for granted.
Father's Day has become another one of those 'card sending' celebrations where we are expected to show our dads our love and appreciation for just one day of the year.
Why wait?
If you do appreciate your dad, why not send him a note or a card or a gift right now? Tell him you love him more today than on any planned Father's Day.
And by the way, we plug our Muscle SOAK as a fantastic gift for men. Plug, plug, plug.
]]>We are very proud of the range of soaps we make, probably for two reasons. Firstly, they are truly beneficial to everyone. We do not use any chemicals or harsh additives. You can be sure of 100% natural ingredients, and we are organic as far as we can be.
Secondly, our soaps are quite simply beautiful.
Buying soaps which are beneficial to the skin is something that should be a priority to us. We believe it is an area where generally we tend to scrimp. If we consider that our skin absorbs whatever we put onto it, it can be quite scary to think about the unseen damage we are doing to our bodies internally.
We don't mean to preach, or be a scare-mongerish. It's just that we should take more care of ourselves. We all deserve it.
So, take more care of yourself. Treat yourself. We promise you will find benefit in using our soaps.
Enjoy the sunshine (whenever it appears, even if for a moment) x
]]>The long weekend is coming up, and it is a great time to chill out home and relax. It seems like we are in for some more bad weather, so I am pleased I am not driving anywhere. The Easter weekend traffic is always bad, never mind the added hassle of snow and ice. Where is our summer?
My plan is to read, relax and unwind. I will be spending time in our lovely deep bath, and of course it goes without saying that I will be indulging in a lot of SOAK Yourself products.
I have been testing our new range of products (about to be launched next month) which include beauty products and a new range of soaps to be sold seperately. More big news to follow, but I'm not allowed to give too much away!
Best wishes x
]]>Enough about me and my holiday! I just wanted to wish you all a very blessed Christmas period, and for us all to remember to focus on what is important. Family, friends, our children and ourselves.
Thank you for your continued support and Best Wishes xx
